Khao Chang Phueak (team booking)

Khao Chang Phueak sits in Thong Pha Phum National Park, 1,249 metres above sea level. The highlight of the route is the stretch hikers call the Knife Ridge — a beautiful, exposed crest with a real edge of exposure to it, and a full 360-degree view from the top that you can take your time over.

  • The trail is 8 kilometres and takes roughly 4–6 hours on foot. You camp one night on the summit. The mountain is open to visitors from November to January.
  • There are no facilities on the summit — no electricity, no shops.
  • The park limits access to 60 visitors per day.
  • Toilets are pit toilets. There is nowhere to shower.
  • There is no water at the top. You carry your own drinking water up.
  • Mobile signal reaches only a few spots, and only on some networks.

How the team booking works

  • You put your name down and we form a team while we wait for the mountain to open. If it does not open, deposits are refunded in full.
  • Once booked, neither the traveller name nor the departure date can be changed under any circumstances.
  • Bookings are confirmed according to the national park’s own booking rounds, so there is a wait for the result.

Cancellations and changes

  1. Once booked, the traveller name cannot be changed under any circumstances.
  2. If you do not get a confirmed place (the national park booking is not secured), you may move to another departure date once.
  3. Cancellations are non-refundable in all cases.
  4. For bookings of more than one person, we book under the national park’s rules, one individual booking at a time, in order. If one name in your group cannot be booked, we refund only the part that failed; names that were successfully booked cannot be refunded. Our team will do everything we can so that everyone travels together.
  5. If we cannot secure your place, you are refunded in full (2–4 working days).
  6. If the mountain does not open, you are refunded in full (2–4 working days).
  7. If Klukfoontour cancels the trip because circumstances make travel impossible, or because of a government-declared lockdown, the deposit is refunded in full or held as trip credit.
  8. There is no policy for cancelling or changing a traveller name if a member catches COVID before departure.

Klukfoontour treats the interests and safety of its members as the priority. If a member is unable to travel at the time or to the place set out in the itinerary, or does not use any part of the service, no refund can be claimed for that part.

  • Please read and make sure you understand the booking and cancellation conditions in full before booking.
  • The company reserves the right to change these conditions without prior notice.

Terms and conditions

  1. The itinerary and the trip price may change where sensible, without prior notice, always with the group’s interests first.
  2. Klukfoontour cannot accept responsibility for costs arising from events outside our control — for example the cancellation or delay of your own journey to the meeting point, flight delays or cancellations, protests, strikes, civil unrest, natural hazards, traffic and accidents, political events in Thailand or abroad, war, and anything else beyond our control.
  3. If a government-declared lockdown closes the country or makes travel impossible, deposits and trip payments are held as credit towards the same trip once travel resumes.
  4. If you are unable to travel at the time or to the place set out in the itinerary, or you do not use part of the service (skipping an activity or a meal, for example), no refund can be claimed for that part.
Booking a trip
  1. Bookings are made through our official channels: the Facebook page Klukfoontour – Klukfoontour Thailand and LINE @klukfoontour.

  3. Your booking must state the traveller names, the departure date, the number of people and any other details we need.
  4. Seats in the van are allocated strictly in the order deposits are received — book earlier, choose first. If you do not tell us your preference, we will seat you in row order.
Booking conditions
  1. Cancellations are non-refundable in all cases. Any change of traveller name must be notified to us at least 15 days before departure, and only on trips whose conditions allow the traveller to be changed.

  3. If Klukfoontour cancels the trip because circumstances make travel impossible, or because of a government-declared lockdown, the deposit is refunded in full or held as trip credit.

  • Please look after your own belongings throughout the trip.
  • The company cannot accept responsibility for personal property lost or damaged during the trip.
  • If you leave something in the van, tell your guide or a member of our staff the same day.

  • Please check your belongings every time you leave the van.
  • Items left in the van are kept for up to 15 days. After 15 days they become the property of the company and may be disposed of or donated.
